One of my absolute favorite games.

This game has become one of my top favourite games, quickly. Literally love everything about this game. All the different mechanics. And how they all come together. It's refreshing. Anyone that likes a game that makes you strategize. That's this game right here. The end game points are easy enough to count up. I did make up a score sheet to make it easier for me. Played it most at two or three players, plays well. Haven't had a chance to try a four player game yet.

This is a really nice dexterity game where you choose an action from the cards flipped, and try to complete Toto’s quest to the top of the tower.
A really sweet story unfolds as you near the top. The simple action selection and table presence makes it a favourite in my family already.

Excellent Daily Spatial Puzzle

A compact box that contains a spatial puzzle for each calendar day of the year. This little box contains hundreds and hundreds of puzzles that can include even more variety by adding in the weather. I will be enjoying it for many years to come. The only negative is the box lid takes quite a bit of effort to get off because the box depth is so little and the contents so light. Just be careful taking it off.

Captures the story brilliantly

I initially avoided this, as I didn’t think I needed more Pandemic in my life. However this game is so much richer than its predecessor and really embodies the feeling of the source material. An epic co-op game that is well worth your time if you’re a Tolkien fan - and even if you’ve had your fill of the Pandemic system.

Worth the wait

Originally saw it played on #RobsGamingTable and I knew I had to have it instantly. Ordered back in 2025, and #BoardgameBliss got it to my table, as soon as its restock made its way back to Canada.

So unique to anything else I have. Love how it plays with each card getting better for you AND the reverse side getting better for your adversaries.

Can't wait for the #DungeonCrawlerCarl edition. It's an instant pre-order for me. Just hook it to my veins!!

Big table presence

This game has a big table presence that stretches your brain (I had to pull out the folding table). I took a chance on this game, as reviews online seemed mixed, and I was not disappointed. I've only played it at 2 players but look forward to trying it solo too.

Dice manipulation - not just with pips but colour also. As with most Garphill Games, there are multiple ways to gain victory points, but you will have to balance all the options to maximize your score.

There is lots going on but we liked the challenge.

If you like Garphill and you like the South Tigris series, you'll probably like this game.
