Osprey Games

Osprey Games is a board game publishing division of Osprey Publishing, a company traditionally known for its wargaming books. Although Osprey has long been a staple in the wargaming community with guides on painting miniatures and designing scenarios, its official entry into game publishing began in 2008 with the release of "Field of Glory: Ancient and Medieval Wargaming Rules" in partnership with Slitherine Software Ltd. This venture into wargaming led to notable projects like "Bolt Action" in collaboration with Warlord Games and the Osprey Wargames series of standalone rulesets. By 2015, Osprey Games was established, marking a new chapter for the company.

Osprey Games expanded its offerings to include board and card games, diversifying from its wargaming roots. While military history remains a prominent theme, as seen in the updated "Escape From Colditz" and the acclaimed "Undaunted" series, their portfolio now spans a broad range of genres. This includes non-military history, science fiction, fantasy, gardening, railway construction, and more. The introduction of the Osprey Roleplaying line in December 2019 further broadened their range, solidifying their reputation as an award-winning games imprint with a diverse and engaging selection.
