Draft dice & use the tools-of-the-trade to carefully construct your stained glass window masterpiece.
Each player will build a stained glass window by building up a grid of dice on their player board. Each board has some restrictions on which color or shade (value) of die can be placed there. Dice of the same shade or color may never be placed next to each other.
Dice are drafted in player order, with the start player rotating each round, snaking back around after the last player drafts 2 dice.
Special tools can be used to help you break the rules by spending skill tokens -- however, once a tool is used, it then requires more skill tokens for the next player to use them.
Scoring is variable per game based on achieving various patterns and varieties of placement... as well as bonus points for dark shades of a particular hidden goal color.
The highest scoring window artisan is the winner!

Better than Azul
I was considering this or Azul for my family. I first bought Azul. It was fine. We had some fun for a few plays. Then, I bought Sagrada. We haven’t touched Azul since.

Sagrada
LOVE this game! One of my favorites. We bring this one out often. Quick/easy to set up, fairly quick to play, easy to teach as well. My kids also love it which is a huge A++ for me...view more. We play this whenever we really want to play a game but don't want to dedicate a lot of time in an evening (or don't have a lot of time). It's also a great game when we DO play longer games, they end, and we are still feeling like we need just a little extra game. Great solo option as well. Just love love love this game. view less

Gorgeous
This is an excellent game that does exactly what it intends to - create a challenging game surrounding the theme of stained glass. Without the theme, many games stand as good game...view mores - this one needs the theme to make it great, which is what makes it one that hits our table often. Reasonable replayability and gorgeous quality. My 4 year old plays with us and is engaged the whole time, that says something. view less
