Great Game

I have been wanting to get US for sometime. When Western Campaigns came out I knew I would buy it as it is a great price and I assumed a good way to learn US. I was not wrong. What I really like is I can setup a scenario quickly and on a small coffee table and play it in a short time. I will definitely get US one day, but in the mean time when I want to scratch the grand strategic itch without setting up a massive game I will go to this.

I own over 1000 games and the one that gets requested the most by my friend groups is Tumblin' Dice, because i bought 6 extra sets and now have 10 sets. I have brought this everywhere and have played with 10 people so many times. Improves the game so much, and becomes the feature attraction every time it's brought out.

A TIGHT battle for territory

Space is so limited in this cage-match of territorial building. Trying to leverage the required territory and rewards to complete your scoring tasks (which are drafted at various points in your game) is a fascinating struggle. Different games modes provides lots of variety too. Quick and ruthless!

Zapotec... lighter fare from Board & Dice, but plenty of brain burn!

Board & Dice, known for their heavier (but excellent) "T" game series, have a wonderful medium weight entry in Zapotec. With snappy play, easy set-up, and 45-60 minute game time, do not be fooled. There are still lots of brain-burning decisions to be made. Also, the easy to administer card-driven solo mode is superb. A lot of fun!

Such a refreshing take on the draft, pattern and grid-building genre

I love tile-laying and pattern building games. There are a lot of them out there, but somehow Wispwood has created a very refreshing take on this type of game. You build an ever growing grid across three rounds (4x4, 5x5 and then 6x6) with your selected wisps and trees (kind of the filler). The kicker is, that after each round, you remove all the trees and only the wisps (and your cat) remain as the skeleton to start building the next (larger) grid. With one scoring card selected (from 5) for each wisp and the trees each game, the variety in this optimization puzzle is amazing. Production quality is excellent. Highly entertaining and addictive gameplay. A simple but challenging solo mode (with 4 levels of difficulty). Not to mention the CGE scoring app, just point your phone camera at your grid, and voila! Great game.
