Hero Brigade is a fast-paced heroic card game for 1-2 players that features elements of deck-building and positional card-battling. Take on the role of the Heroes or the Villains and prepare to throw down!

Each character card can be played in three different ways (deployed to your Party's Front Row, deployed to your Support Row, or used for a one-time game effect). Hero Brigade also offers unique twists on conventional deck-building mechanisms. Drawing extra cards and eliminating your starting cards can hurt you in the long term as you permanently lose cards from your deck each time you reshuffle and each time one of your characters is defeated. Running out of cards loses you the game!

You'll find yourself screaming "Sausage....Sausage........Sausage"

This game is super simple yet offers the right amount of push your luck. You'll have a choice between sacrificing animals to push your luck, picking more animals to score bigger points or even attempt that full sausage fest for max points...but be careful you might end up only scoring minimal points.....the sausages can be the heroes or quickly become your worst enemy.

Great, complex game

Inventors is easily the most complicated Garphill game I've played, and I really enjoy it now that I've got a few plays in. It took a few tries to make sense of all the rules and options, but might have been a little easier if I'd watched a how to play video rather than just stubbornly learning from the rulebook! It is well worth the time to learn how to play and how to make sense of the iconography. The mechanic of costs and benefits changing on each invention, depending on what action you're doing or what stage the invention is at, is confusing but cool. There are many things to juggle and many different things you can focus on for the endgame, which I really love in a game as it means there's not just one particular path to victory.
The theme is fun and well realized.
I definitely recommend this one, especially if you enjoy the other South Tigris games.

Great game, insert slightly too small.

This is one of the first worker placement, resource gathering games I played. I am very glad it is reprinted. A classic. The reprinted edition tokens might be slightly thicker than the originals as they do not fit properly in the provided insert. A minor quibble, but just so you know.
