Early morning, 18th April 1906, the city of San Francisco awakes shaken by a massive earthquake of magnitude 8.6 on the Richter scale and by a huge fire that started afterwards. Even today, it is still classed as one of the worst natural disasters in the USA.

In 1906 San Francisco, you are a property developer for the rapid reconstruction of San Francisco during the five years after the large-scale destruction. Get plots of land and earn money for rubble removal so that you can construct buildings, plan urban development for essential services, and improve the city for its modernization.

These are now my go-to for standard-sized card sleeves. The matte finish makes it so easy to shuffle the cards.

You'll find yourself screaming "Sausage....Sausage........Sausage"

This game is super simple yet offers the right amount of push your luck. You'll have a choice between sacrificing animals to push your luck, picking more animals to score bigger points or even attempt that full sausage fest for max points...but be careful you might end up only scoring minimal points.....the sausages can be the heroes or quickly become your worst enemy.

Great, complex game

Inventors is easily the most complicated Garphill game I've played, and I really enjoy it now that I've got a few plays in. It took a few tries to make sense of all the rules and options, but might have been a little easier if I'd watched a how to play video rather than just stubbornly learning from the rulebook! It is well worth the time to learn how to play and how to make sense of the iconography. The mechanic of costs and benefits changing on each invention, depending on what action you're doing or what stage the invention is at, is confusing but cool. There are many things to juggle and many different things you can focus on for the endgame, which I really love in a game as it means there's not just one particular path to victory.
The theme is fun and well realized.
I definitely recommend this one, especially if you enjoy the other South Tigris games.
