Sheriff of Nottingham (Second Edition)

Sheriff of Nottingham is very player dependent. There's so much room for negotiation and bribery the players create the shape of the game. It can be quiet and calculated or loud with players making multi-turn deals/bribes.

I appreciate that it's a game where you don't have to cheat or lie if you don't want to. Some players don't like to do that and you can win playing a clean game.

We absolutely love this game. Although the graphic quality isn't anywhere near as nice as the original, the game makes up for it by giving you all the expansions in one box. Easily recommend.

This 2nd edition is the same super fun bluffing game as the first edition, but quite frankly, the first edition looks better! The artwork in the first edition is more appealing. That said, the freedom in the negotiation / bribery is where this game shines. Not only can you bribe the Sheriff not to open your own bag, but you can pay the Sheriff to open other people's bags! The back and forth can be extremely fun. The only major gameplay shortcoming is that mostly passive play (not taking the risk of smuggling) will generally win you the game. When I play I'm torn between, "Do I want to win the game or have fun?"

Still a great, easy, interactive party game!
