Near and Far

Great games, great service.

Near and far has many different modules where depending how interested you are in playing a role playing campaign game will alter your experience. This being said, we do not play with any campaign activities but are still having a blast due to the strong core play. I wouldn’t pass this one up!

Near and Far

This game is a great level of fun and complexity, and the combination of the simple worker placement (near/in town) and the exploration (far) is very fulfilling. It really is a well designed all around great game. The only thing that bugged me after a few games was that a big selling point of the game (the stories) are very, very random in nature. There doesn't seem to be any big significance to them. The group that I play with now just ignores the stories. So if you're looking for a game with a great over-arching cohesive story and not random little things here and there, get something like clank legacy.

This is such a great game, lots of fun mechanisms and a campaign mode that you can replay a couple times at least and still discover new stuff and stories. The expansion definitely adds some interesting features and I don't think I would ever play without it after trying it, it also makes a couple of actions from the base game a lot more interesting and enhance the overall gameplay.
