Even in fantasy worlds, wars rage and leave behind piles of corpses. Fortunately, the monster eaters are there to bury all the heroes who have fallen on the battlefield! Thanks to you, elves, goblins, unicorns, cyclops and dragons will finally find eternal rest. Make your hole to distinguish yourself from other gravediggers, but don't dig your own grave!
In Le Croque-Monstre, of the two domino cards you place per turn, the first goes into your narrow personal crypt, while the other enlarges the common grave and will also be used by your opponents. You will therefore seek to optimize the placements to create, in the two game areas, continuous groups of the same category and thus try to score points. But be careful because you can only score once per game in each category! And their values are unique! (2, 4, 6 or 10 points). Once taken by another player, a point value will no longer be available. What are you going to do? Attempt a rush by scoring few points but in the five categories and before the other players to trigger the end of the game? Or will you take your time scoring larger profitable groups? (at the risk of having your sets hampered by your rivals and thus ruining your plans). Bury with a shovel, without taking a rake!
