Fun and Simple

Hold or bust type of game, very fast to play, fun to be the dealer. Played with 4, would imagine it would work very well with 8 too.

Perfect Customer Service Option to combine shipping

Great feature, and CS is so easy to work with. Like to buy stuff when I'm thinking about it, and don't want it going out of stock - also don't want to pay tons of shipping. This option is perfect.

Addictive push your luck card game

Although there is not much strategy, the activity is very fun, as you try to inch your way to 200 points in rounds that can be extremely productive or a total bust. But it is a lot of fun, especially with the special cards that put a twist on everything, with cards that save you from busting, to making someone take 3 cards in a row, to freezing someone’s score for the round, as well as bonus cards that don’t count as part of your hand. If you can get 7 different cards in your tableau, then you end the round and get 15 bonus points. A great filler game for family and friends wanting something lighter to play. Things can turn out surprisingly great or horrible, and it can seem like you are lucky or cursed, just by the way the cards come out.

I love this game. This is the reason why they made settlers of Catan. It was for this expansion.

Want to play more

This is becoming a new fave the more I play this game! When I went in the store, it was recommended by BGB staff. Thank you!

This expansion is great if you have played the game enough and are looking for more variation in new cards, artifacts that give you powers, and a new board to give you more flexibility throughout the game. Also really enjoy the upgraded goal scoring tokens which make the goals more valuable and incentive to over achieve earlier goals. I was a fan of the base game and this just makes it better with a few more rules!

The Fellowship of the Ring: Trick-Taking Game

Wow, what a game

Quickly became my favorite board game!!! Game brings creativity and a lot of fun mechanics

Excellent, quick delivery as always

This a company you can trust. Had one minor issue and they were responsive and explained within a day. My go to online gaming store. You can absolutely trust this store to deliver, and respond quickly in the rare event of an issue. Great prices, great selection...I'm not a bot, live in Edmonton and cheering for my Oilers. (For proof)

Reforest: Plants of the Pacific Northwest Coast

This expansion adds a much needed challenge to an already fantastic game!

Love this game. Already bought an expansion.

Falls a bit short

Firstly, I know that a lot of people like this game. I have to give kudos to the creator for delving into such a theme and for creating this idea, it's not easy to do. I think some concepts are good. I especially like the idea that the game ends after the twelfth card is built, this makes the game a little less long in the app.

Secondly, I have only played this game in the app, so to be fair I haven't played it as a table top.

However, after a quite a few play throughs in the app, I find that I am not very fond of this game. I dislike that you have to filter through cards so much in this game, and that that is a central component to an action you take as well as a power that the cards give you. I find that this is quite limiting to what you can achieve on your turns, and it also forces you to burn through cards that would rather kept other than what you have already been dealt. I don't know if it is supposed to be played this way but that is how it's resented in the app. I find that I have a hard time getting invested in each turn as result of this mechanic.

Spoiler alert, I may have some bias here, but I am not sure how much love the space age theme in a game (I think I prefer it in film or a book). I have to play a few more games to figure this out not that is important here. Either way I find that the theme and mechanics of this game are a bit daunting. The fact that it relies on symbols, I think would make it worse as a table top( her woman thinking of games like Ortus Regni which do the same). That's not impossible to do, but it would be very irritating to have to go through the rules again and again when trying to teach the game to someone who is playing it for the first time. This would make if far less accessible to new players and someone who is not entirely interested in the theme. Soni don't think it would work for my gaming.

Personally I think the theme in Arctic Scavengers is far better than this.

Great game and was super simple to learn with a player aide that plays the first 4 turns for you and coaches you through it. Was able to play the game within an hour 4 player. Lots of meaningful choices to be made and a visually appealing game.

Good expansion. It does not introduce any new mechanics just adds variety to what apiary already offers and errata’s some pieces from the original game.

Carcassonne: Bridges, Castles, and Bazaars

Wonderful game with gorgeous art!

As great as the art is in the first edition of Parks I like the art in the second edition even more! The solo mode with Ranger Teddy is clever and works smoothly.

Interesting system

Have been a fan of Chip Theory Games due to Hoplomacus. Really enjoy the solo experience of 20 strong. Relatively simple to learn but offers enough of a changed with the included Solar Sentinel deck that I keep bringing it to the table when I want a Chip Theory game that plays within an hour. Will check out the other decks too.

Fast and simple game, perfect for breaks at work or to play while waiting for a player to join.

Another great title by Vladimir

Love the rondle mechanic, and the action selection. Plays very smoothly. Easy to learn. Great looking game!
