adds some variety and spice compared to the original. easy to score
All the Azul's have similar opening mechanics, where you take all the same coloured tiles from a factory and push the rest to the middle, but in this one, you don't start placing any pieces until after the tile aquiring phase is over. It's a fun twist, and the rules around tile placement are also slightly different. We've only played a few games of it so far, but it's quite enjoyable. The Azul games are all different enough that you can justify owning each of them.
We enjoy playing this game with our kids (ages 12-22) - lovely components, easy to teach, and fun to play!
This is the best version of Azul you can purchase. The original Azul is my second favourite.
While longer than the previous 2 Azul games, this one is my favorite!
