I find this the most accessible of the series. The small map creates some great openings to study and counter, but the game very rapidly branches off from the scripts. Use and attrition of Themata frontier soldiers creates a very different arc in each year. Seasons are not as obvious in effect as in Nevsky, but the new loot trains and return to home in winter create different pressures each season.
If you've played Sushi Go, it has a similar vibe with the set collection and point assignment. I really love the pottery theme with the Japanese esthetic of Kintsugi. Nice filler game for sure
This expansion gives an already great game a boost. Totally love this game and this is a perfect addition which provides more options and strategy. Well worth it!
