As a child most people play a version of the simple card game war. Two decks face each other and all you do is flip cards to see which card beats the other. Simple and mindless.
But, what if you draft cards with special abilities into a tiny personal deck and then use those decks to face off in a tournament of quick chaotic matches to see who comes out on top? You suddenly have an amazing game which deceptively appears to be a random luckfest but lies a deep puzzley game which plays from 1-8 people in 45 mins.
This game is not bought for the solo version, the fun comes from playing a group of friends and accepting that even the best constructed deck can be decimated by luck as cards are played in order from your shuffled deck in a game of capture the flag.
I cannot recommend this game enough for anyone who enjoys fun and can accept a fair bit of luck in their enjoyment of games.
