Fateforge is one of the best dungeon crawlers I've ever played. Setup and teardown is reasonably quick, although the box only barely managed to contain its contents with the added expansion. The social and exploration sections of the game are fun, with simple 'skill checks' and having to navigate a physical map to get around the city. Combat is surprisingly quick and snappy thanks to characters rolling just four dice, generating four symbols, and then spending those to Move, attack enemies in Melee and with ranged Shots, or generate Focus for certain special skills. The enemies have simple behaviors which let you plan your turns a lot more effectively.
My two criticisms are (1) the game is really stingy with money and (2) the app really needs a back/undo button. While you can't really fix the second issue, I recommend fixing the first by letting the party heal 3 Health instead of 2 for each gem spent resting, and letting the players sell unwanted equipment for half its value, rounded down, when they visit a store. This will give the party slightly more money to buy and upgrade skills and get better weapons but shouldn't make the game too easy, especially if you're playing for the first time.
