The Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle-Earth – Allies

If you've played the base game enough, (that amount is subjective and as sparse as this is), I think it’s a must have expansion.
We’ve played the base game a dozen times so this was a welcome change for us. It adds another nice little layer of depth that’s helpful for the game’s longevity.
They seem to have struck a nice balance with this new addition which is a little comparable in use to the Landmarks. This is just a small deck of cards and tokens, and only three allies are used each game. Both factions have 7 cards each with varying abilities.
I was surprised this has larger format card, but they really show off the great and thematic artwork. We didn’t find any of them to be OP, but they can be powerful abilities if your timing is right.

This expansion gives an already great game a boost. Totally love this game and this is a perfect addition which provides more options and strategy. Well worth it!
