Potions & Spells is a recipe-building card game where 2-6 players cast spells to hinder an opponent’s progress or gain advantages, while collecting ingredients to create powerful potions.
Potions & Spells start the game with 3 random ingredients and 3 random spells (action cards) in their hand. On the active player's turn they can choose between 3 different options:
Option 1 - Cast & Collect: Player may choose to cast a spell or not. Spells can attack players, gain advantages or defend against other spells. Next, they can collect two ingredients from the market. Then to end their turn, as spell card is drawn from the deck into their hand.
Option 2 - Brew a Potion: Brewing a potion has a unique ingredient recipe requirement. Recipe requirements must be met with an ingredients value exactly (No more, No less) the player then discards the ingredients and scores the potion in front of them, performs the action on the potion and gains the points indicated on the potion.
Option 3 - Activate: A Dragon Crystal doesn’t carry any power on its own, but collect 3 and activate them by placing them face up during the Activate option on your turn. Activated Dragon Crystals are worth 3 points but also may be boosted by a potion action.
To Win: The first player to get 25 points or more
