What I expected from Calico was a cute easy going puzzle game of laying tiles and getting cats and buttons to score points. But add the goals and you've got a brain burner of a game. It's still super easy to learn and quick to get right into the game but the excruciating decisions you need to make and those times of tenseness when another player is about to choose a tile you desperately need is so good. Never a dull game in Calico.

Concordia has been a top 10 game for me since its release. Venus is a great addition that changes the game enough to keep it fresh without encumbering it with wholesale changes.

This is a great ice breaker/party game. It is so funny watching people struggle with not saying Ummmm. The rule cards add that little extra fun to it too.
