EuroWarGames is a comprehensive 332-page volume that explores the vibrant and evolving world of European wargaming. Curated by respected experts Frédéric Serval, Riccardo Masini, and Jan Heinemann, the book presents a carefully assembled anthology of 17 in-depth articles written by some of the most influential voices in the field, including Maurice Suckling, Brian Train, Volko Ruhnke, and many others.
Far more than a historical overview, EuroWarGames delves into the transformation of wargaming from a niche pastime to a powerful tool now embraced by armed forces, businesses, educators, and analysts across Europe. While the influence of U.S.-based design remains significant, this volume highlights the distinct philosophies, innovations, and cultural perspectives that shape wargaming on the European continent.
Printed in full color with a softcover binding, this book is an essential reference for anyone interested in the design, theory, and practical use of wargaming—offering valuable insights to designers, scholars, and curious players alike.
EuroWarGames captures the past, interrogates the present, and looks toward the future of wargaming in Europe and beyond.
