Playmats are seldom essential, but in almost all cases, game specific playmats make playing the game so much easier, and thus a better game experience. This playmats is no exception, knowing exactly where to put the cards is a real help - again, not essential, but really useful.The cost of these makes them (IMO) a no brainer purchase. I love mine!
