The battles for control of the Nine Worlds become more dangerous as monsters that haunt the darkest of our legends are unleashed. No longer can the gods and leaders of the realms merely focus on domination of the worlds. They must join forces to defeat these horrors or else suffer losses and destruction at their hands. For those who find the courage and resourcefulness to take on these enemies, honour and rewards beckon, some of which may help tip the balance in the wars between the worlds.
The Nine Worlds: Creatures and Monsters expansion introduces a new dimension where players divert some of their player stones to the fight against the monsters.
Defeat of the monsters will yield rewards. Failure to tackle the monsters means that various players will suffer penalties with the least courageous, who have done the least to fight the monsters, treated harshly by the norns who govern the fates of all.
The key to this expansion is balancing the division of the action points between actions in the Nine Worlds and engaging the monsters.
