The Shepherd’s goal is to nurture the pasture, guide a growing flock, and provide the town with wool, milk, and other valuable goods. Each day, the Shepherd works the land, tending crops, growing apple trees, herding sheep, and shaping the rhythm of Mythwind Valley’s fields. Careful planning, smart movement, and a steady hand are essential as the Shepherd manages the flock and responds to the changing weather.

The Pasture
The Shepherd oversees six connected regions of open pasture. Weather determines how quickly pasture grows, when apples ripen, and how the land shifts from day to day. Each region offers opportunities to plant new crops, harvest the land, or expand the flock. Managing space, growth, and grazing is key to building a healthy and productive pasture.

The Flock
The Shepherd guides up to three sheep across the regions to graze, produce, and stay safe from predators. A well-fed flock thrives and grows, but stray sheep or poor grazing patterns can be dangerous. Keeping the flock together, creating new sheep, and protecting them during Dusk is central to the Shepherd’s strategy.

Companions
Dogs and hired workers support the Shepherd with movement, foraging, and daily tasks. Dogs help manage the flock, while workers help tend, cultivate, produce, and trade. The Shepherd also develops new skills that improve their mastery over the land.
