I was a little skeptical when I saw it's level of asymmetry and relatively light weight, but it works so well! Very pleasantly surprised that a game this beautiful also plays so well and is pretty easy to teach to people who have played board games before.
I played for the sixth time yesterday and still the game surprised and excited me. The production is top notch with dual layer boards and 3D boats galore. The individual merchants' rules are simple enough that each player can read them quickly before the game and understand what they're supposed to do despite their wildly different themes and playstyles. The different rogue cards (especially if you get the Secret Stash expansion) make sleek, impactful changes from one game to the next. And even though the game is basically just "make things and sell them," there are avenues to victory that reward thoughtful plays in the management of not only your goods, but the customers that you are all selling to and those that go to their respective faction halls (including the rogues in most cases).
I recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun and rewarding experience that involves just the right mix of single player solitaire and cut-throat manipulation.
This game is simply spectacular, one of the most original and diverse game and amazing quality. So happy that I got all the extentions too! Just on a huntch.

Concordia has been a top 10 game for me since its release. Venus is a great addition that changes the game enough to keep it fresh without encumbering it with wholesale changes.

This is a great ice breaker/party game. It is so funny watching people struggle with not saying Ummmm. The rule cards add that little extra fun to it too.
