Calico is a puzzly tile-laying game of quilts and cats.
In Calico, players compete to sew the coziest quilt as they collect and place patches of different colors and patterns. Each quilt has a particular pattern that must be followed, and players are also trying to create color and pattern combinations that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also able to attract the cuddliest cats!

Turns are simple. Select a single patch tile from your hand and sew it into your quilt, then draw another patch into your hand from the three available. If you are able to create a color group, you may sew a button onto your quilt. If you are able to create a pattern combination that is attractive to any of the cats, it will come over and curl up on your quilt! At the end of the game, you score points for buttons, cats, and how well you were able to complete your unique quilt pattern.

One of my favourite games!

Lots of replayability, so it never gets boring, only more challenging! The art is beautiful too. And my kids (5 and 7) love it too! I also play alone as well, it's a great single player game.

Fun Family Game

We really enjoyed the game as it was easy to learn and my kids (4 and 7) enjoyed playing with me.

Good game. Not as captivating as some so I couldn't give it 5 stars. I played it once and don't know if I'll play it again.

Such a great puzzle game. easy enough to teach to non gamers but has such good depth for everyone. you cant do everything and making those hard choices is a great part of this puzzly game. beth sobel art!?! cant get better than this mixed with the flatout component quality. this is a must have IMO

I had fun playing it, shame the company went bankrupt. Masterpiece of a game.

New twist on the classic.

I watched a ton of reviews for this game, and I knew it was going to be awesome! Playing it hasn’t let me down. It is as great as I hoped it would be! If you like Carcassonne, this is really awesome to play with someone to achieve a common goal. I haven’t tried it as an expansion with the original base game, but I’m sure it’s going to be amazing!
