I love Orleans. It is one of my favourite games, especially with the GeekUp bits from Board Game Geek (highly recommended). I got the upgrades for this expansion as well, and i find that it doesn't change the game much, but just the new event tiles and the added plague doctor that can be used as a wild follower...yes, thank you! I would say this expansion is unnecessary, but if you've played the base game and fair bit and are looking for a little spice to change it up, this is a great addition.
