You are the mayor of a tiny town in the forest in which the smaller creatures of the woods have created a civilization hidden away from predators. This new land is small and the resources are scarce, so you take what you can get and never say no to building materials. Cleverly plan and construct a thriving town, and don't let it fill up with wasted resources! Whoever builds the most prosperous tiny town wins!
In Tiny Towns, your town is represented by a 4x4 grid on which you will place resource cubes in specific layouts to construct buildings. Each building scores victory points (VPs) in a unique way. When no player can place any more resources or construct any buildings, the game ends, and any squares without a building are worth -1 VP. The player with the most VP wins!

Great to play over video chat. Cute and fun, simple rules with some complexity in strategy.
The game mechanics are fairly simple, but the strategy is complex enough to keep it interesting.
There are several building types of each colour, but only one of each colour ...view moreis available each game... so each time you play there's a different selection of building to choose from, changing up the strategy each time.
No direct conflict, but lots of blocking other players by calling resources that you need by they don't. So it's good for kids (or adults) who can't handle getting attacked in games.
The artwork is adorable, the cards for each building are extra-large, with illustrations of the buildings and the little animal citizens. The wooden building pieces are well designed too.
This game works really well over video chat if both houses have a copy - good game for the current global quarantine. view less

Building your town
This game comes with many wooden buildings, about 6 or 7 kinds I think. Basically you put resources in your 4X 4 grid according to the shapes printed on the cards on the table. Th...view moree shapes reminds me of Tetris. Then you can put your building down once you completed the shape. High replayability, light game, very vibrant color, reasonable price. view less
