Seemingly Simple

Everdell is a game that seems like it will be a quick four rounds but there are so many layers, options and things to try that keeping track of it all takes a lot of brain space. It was an instant hit at game night with my adult kids. The artwork is beautiful and the theme is immersive. It will quickly become a standard we play often. Board Game Bliss always has competitive prices and ships quickly and in great condition. Proud to shop Canadian!

An ESSENTIAL Expansion

Rocketmen: Target-Jupiter is an essential expansion that fixes the problem of hoping to launch a successful mission but failing due to random card draws. There are tokens in denominations of a 1 and 2 now that you can gain which you can either add to your Mission Success or save for the end game when they can be converted into victory points. The added Jupiter and Research & Development tracks make each turn meaningful and add dimension to what is a solid base game but one which relies too much on luck. This game comes with all of the base game cards as well as two smaller decks all of which replace the cards for the base game. I cannot emphasize enough the fact that this is that rare animal of expansions, i.e., an essential one. I got rid of the expansion box, the base game cards, and the original game board and packed everything into the base game box. If you like the base game or have been on the fence about it, I highly advise you to jump on this right away.

Simple but Fun

It's a nice addition to our collection. An easy enough game to pull off the shelf and teach while having enough depth to make things interesting. There is a mild luck element to the game in the form of your hand's contents and the game can drag on in a near stalemate if you get down to 1 bear, but otherwise it's fun. will play more.
