Just started with the Unmatched system and like it so far. This box is great for my group of 3 since the board/map is larger and allows for 3-4 player free-for-all.
My wife and I enjoy gaming together, but many of the short to medium games we enjoy are best played with more than 2 players. It’s refreshing to find a quick to play game that is perfect for 2 people. Having only played it twice so far, we don’t have a ton of experience yet, but the outcomes can vary greatly, and you can use different strategies to maximize your score. I love that every game has a different potential outcome, and that you can play both defensively or aggressively.
As a sci-fi enthusiast and appreciator of classic space themes (vis-à-vis Star Trek), these ships were a must for my Eclipse 2nd Dawn collection. Definitely not a necessity for everyone, but if you enjoy Eclipse and are looking to keep the Terran race theme a bit more… human(?), then these make an excellent addition to the box.
