I bought the Romulan, Federation and Ferengi bases.
On the plus side, they look good after assembly and painting (base coat plus shades and highlights). On the down side, you have do some gluing and fiddling with the bases and main bodies to make them look straight. Make sure you have a hair dryer to fix the angles.
The pegs don't always fit the holes snuggly. You have to trim off the sprues on the Romulan bases. And you'll probably have to sand the protruding pegs to make the bases lay flat.
Probably not worth $15 given the work involved, but worth it if on sale.
