The Daedric princes rule their respective planes of Oblivion, and their influence over mortals cannot be understated. Whether summoned to Tamriel for worship or study, these entities of great power will frequently strike deals and make pacts with those who dare. Such a bargain is laced with poison and sure to bring misery, but a serious adventurer doesn’t dismiss any potential advantage, and the prospect of wielding Daedric power is intoxicating!

Each of the five Daedric princes comes with something akin to a side quest, offering a blessing and a curse. It’s recommended that adventurers play with both, but those looking to further manipulate the game’s difficulty could choose one or the other. With unique componentry and so many ways to adjust the gameplay experience, we’re very excited about what Shadows of Oblivion has to offer.

Great solo, 2 player, or multi player!

Great little puzzle/farming game, and building combos for more plays is really satisfying!

More of Everything

New servant types, new tiles, new family, new strategies to try! This is the best kind of expansion. Takes the base game and blows it wide open. Will likely never play Obsession without Upstairs, Downstairs.

New game modes are nice additions to anyone who wants to play those ways but they're not for me.

Fun addition to Wingspan

Just got my copy and managed to play through it once. I played a 2 player game using this expansion and the Asia expansion as that's what we had available. I really liked the addition of the hummingbirds which give you a benefit almost every turn.
The artwork is beautiful, as usual, and the new bird cards were a nice addition with new powers. I found the game length was increased as there's another element to consider when taking your turn but didn't feel like it dragged the game out. That might change at a higher player count. However, I found the game went smoothly and added extra benefits on my your turn, at the end, it felt like I was able to accomplish more between my player mat and the hummingbird board.
Of all the expansions, this one affects the game play of Wingspan the most. If you like Wingspan, you'll probably like this expansion as it adds an additional dimension to the beloved base game.

Gift for 8 year old...

We only played once so far. It's a little finicky with sticker placement and it's hard for an 8 year old. Lots of reading and specific times to do things. I think this would better suit a 10 year old crowd. Also wasn't aware that it has a 20 game limit then you can't play anymore. I wish they made wooden or cardboard pieces instead of stickers. The longevity would be better and it would be easier to place and if needed move pieces around. It's suppose to be for an 8 year old make it easier to place items/buildings. It's also too hard for older people to see with such fine print.
