An expansion for Obsession that introduces four new servants—the Hall Boy, Cook, Head Housemaid, and Useful Man—who can be used to mitigate Victorian Fate found in the base game.

It also enables 5 and 6 players and adds the Howard family with their legendary cook.

Upstairs, Downstairs includes new service and improvement tiles along with a ton of new casual and prestige guests. The expansion components empower players to screen guests, work around prestige limitations, find tiles, refresh the market more easily, and enhance favors early in the game.

Finally, there are three new game modes: Solo Estate Challenge, Team Cooperative Play, and Tableau Obsession.

Not "user-friendly" but good

When they recommend knowing the base game pretty well before integrating this expansion, believe them... We had quite a hard time as we had played only 2 games of the base game before, and there are so many things to remember with the 4 new servants. But now that we have played 3 times with the expansion, we appreciate it more. It allows you to do more on your turns. Overall we recommend this expansion

An absolute must!

I think this expansion is incredibly necessary. It adds so many more options but not in a way that clutters up the experience. There are player aid cards which can be a bit of a mess but once you've played through a couple times, they're much less necessary. This expansion really elevates the gameplay and I don't know that I'd ever care to play without it

Great upgrade, never play without it!

This upgrade truly makes the game! I wouldn’t recommend playing without it. The extra service meeples really enhance game
[****], help mitigate luck, and offer additional options that really make gameplay more fun and strategic.

Worth The Trip From Germany

This game is way better than it should be for how few components are in the box (which is my only complaint, box is too big!).
Best with lots of players. Knizia puts push your luck into a push your luck.
