Your goal in Draftosaurus is to have the dino park most likely to attract visitors. To do so, you have to draft dino meeples and place them in pens that have some placement restrictions. Each turn, one of the players roll a die and this adds a constraint to which pens any other player can add their dinosaur.
Draftosaurus is a quick and light drafting game in which you don't have a hand of cards that you pass around (after selecting one), but a bunch of dino meeples in the palm of your hand.

Great little drafting game, doesn't overstay its welcome
We own a lot of drafting games. Probably more than we need to, according to our collection size. What's great about Draftosaurus, is that it's small, it's quick, and it's an excell...view moreent drafting game. The two player experience (our usual play count) is oddly satisfying, which differentiates this from a lot of drafting games. The art is excellent, the components are great, and the inclusion of a slightly more difficult board is nice for when you want to work out your brain a little harder. We usually play a full game in about 15 minutes, including setup and breakdown. I have also 3d printed some little cups that fit in the box to make passing the meeples a bit easier. view less

All the fun strategy of a roll’n write but with Dino meeples!!!
Draftosaurus is a delightful and quick game of drafting colourful wooden Dino meeples and placing them strategically in your park to score the most points.
Thi...view mores is a quick game which plays very well as a 2 player affair with a game taking no more than 15 mins. Come for the delightful Dino meeples but stay for a strategic game which feels as though it was developed as a roll’n write game but then had a component upgrade to give a more tactile drafting experience.
Excellent filler game for any group although there is the potential for analysis paralysis when selecting your Dino, luckily at most you are choosing from 4 so it should not slow too many players down.
The one negative is that it feels as though a component is missing. You take 4 wooden meeples into your hand and then pass the remaining three to the next player - it feels as though you should be holding them in a small cup or bowl and it is recommended that each player comes equipped with something to hold them in. More than once we dropped a Dino whilst passing them along until we added small bowls.
The inclusion of a harder winter map on the back of the default map adds to replay-ability. Might be too thinky for some people’s tastes but it is a light game. Highly recommended. view less
