Explorers isn't my top Garphill game, but it's a really good one and definitely recommended. It's lighter and faster than Raiders of the North Sea and quite easy to teach. The expansion, Rocks of Ruin, is a must in my opinion as it adds a lot of variety that the base game lacks.
This small expansion is perfect for my nerdy family. Every civ holds interest. The new capital city maps have some interesting features. Just what we were looking for.
