Agent Avenue is a quick, two-player cat-and-mouse game where players try to catch their opponentβs pawn using set collection, bluffing, and Black Market cards that provide instant or ongoing powers.
Unfortunately, I found that the tension just isnβt there, and catching your opponent never feels as satisfying as it should. While a game can be played in just 5β10 minutes, that short playtime also means there isnβt much opportunity for things to build toward those exciting βGotcha!β moments.
Itβs a clever concept and certainly easy to get to the table, but for me, the lack of tension and payoff keeps Agent Avenue from really standing out.
