Such an interesting and compelling game! Great 1-on-1 game. Almost like chess!
Great Card-Driven Game, plays quick and lean without requiring TOO much knowledge of the cards (unlike a Twilight Struggle).
Lots of fun subterfuge and feigning using hidden evidence marker, and some gamesmanship available by targeting or feigning interest in key witnesses, forcing your opponent to spend their cards.
Capstone Games has been such a consistent tastemaker over the past 2 years.
This is what I wanted twilight struggle to feel like. Nice and quick, tactical card play. Very strategic game.
It was the popular CDG this year. It's perfectly fine, and I got my SO to play with me, which is a plus. Have to play more to compare, but I still think I prefer 13 Days over this, since the shared deck adds a bit of depth.
Have only played twice. Really interesting visual board mechanisms of linking/blocking evidence to the nixon administration. The game doesn't seem to balance using cards as points vs. using the event; Events seem very overpowered and really swing the round balance back and forth with every card. Also I haven't generally found a need to hold on to many of the cards if the event was useful that round, whether you play as a n event or for points seems more to be whether you can get the most out of the event this turn or whether you might get more on another turn... seemed to be more luck of the draw than careful timing) as well as other games, though maybe this is due to my limited play-throughs. Looking forward to playing more regardless, the game has fun interplay and the theming and setting is amazing. Also amazing value at this price, and comes in a nice small box.
