Unmatched: Battle of Legends, Volume Two

If you're new to Unmatched, it's a great game, and a set with 4 characters is a really great starting point.

What you're getting:

4 powerful and varied characters
1 map with a high ground mechanic, but the other side of the board is just a less visually appealing copy of it instead of being a different map

I think getting four powerful and varied characters is the main steal here, but I'm still kinda choked by the board having just an uglier version of it printed on the back instead of a different map.

I put off the game for a while, but as it expanded I needed to try it out. I was hooked immediately. The characters in the game are asymmetrical and although that allows you many battle options right out of the box.

The game is quick to teach. Anyone I have taught could play the game with about 5 minutes of explanation, leaving with them to learn the style of their specific warrior. The only thing that kept this set from getting a 5 star rating was the fact that there was only one map in this set (double sided but just a different visual effect on the same board)

I want to give it a 4.5 but that is not an option.

For those who already been playing Unmatched, this new set brings one of the best map so far. As for newcomers to Unmatched, this set is another great one. Same rules as any other set, this is an easy to learn game to play with 2 to 4 players. The characters are very diverse culturally in this set and have interesting mechanics. You'll find there very strong attacks in each fighters. It is one of the best sets so far!
