Let's Go! To Japan

I love the story of how this game came about and the passion for the theme of planning a trip to Japan shows. Let’s go to Japan is a very different game where you play cards to weekdays to plan your trip. You plan these adventures based on the theme for each day trying to maximize efficiency by travelling as little as possible between Kyoto and Tokyo by grouping activities for each city together as much as possible. The real twist is that you don’t get any of the resources/scoring until the whole trip is planned and you go through each day’s itinerary. This twist is interesting and keeps who is in the lead or likely to win secret right up until the end. It can throw off some players as tjs is the reverse of the normal game mechanics. I really like Let’s go to Japan but feel like I needed more flavour text for the adventures. This would allow us to better compare our itineraries to see who has planned the best trip and not just rely on pure scores.

This is a fun game that is complex enough to satisfy serious gamers but accessible for those who usually play gateway games. It is interesting to plan your trip with the drawn cards and make the most of what you get. Lots of paths to victory available, so definitely will keep playing.

Awesome family game with minimal downtime as it has synchronized play. I wish I kickstarted this to get the 5 player expansion. Although Ive read you can just buy another copy

This game was a delightful discovery. It’s different with a good mechanic and beautiful artwork !

Very fast moving game as you're simply picking at most two cards per round and passing to the next player. Definitely some strategy involved to try to maximize your points per day. All in all, a wonderful game
