We loved the puzzle of Kokeshi. You choose tiles to build up your columns. Then when you activate them you try to see how much of a cascading effect you can make. The premise of this cooperative game is quite simple: the active player chooses an abstract image from the cards in their hand that they feel most closely matches one of the nonsense words on display and each of therest of the players try to guess which of the words the active player thinks matches selected image. Correct guesses need to outpace incorrect guesses to win. The game provides lots of opportunities for laughter and discussion but might fall flat with some game groups.
