King of Tokyo is tight boardgame. It plays fast, it can be taught in minutes, and it has a very inviting theme. This is a great game for kids and adults. It definitely answers the question of: what would happen if Yahtzee took steroids and grew a tail? The art in the new edition is also a lot of fun. (If you can snag the new Dark Edition, the art is even better.) The only draw back to the game is that there is player elimination, but the games are short so it's not a dealbreaker. It would just have been nice if the designer still gave eliminated players a role so they could stay invested the rest of the game.
