Game is based off dead zone mechanics with halo reskin by the same company. Yet they made it very halo themed in the mechanics they did change or adjust. Played multiple games and overall people enjoyed it. Downside noted is the rulebook and keywords are a hassle and some aren’t clearly defined or noted. They did do a great job of the first learning game tutorial but would benefit with cards for reference for abilities instead on hunting in the rulebook or board game geek
The Village Big Box delivers a lot of game in an all-in-one package. I love the artwork, but fans of the original might not. The Port expansion is delightful and printed on the reverse of the board. The addition of a solo mode makes for an excellent way to learn the game without playing mutihanded solo.
