The survivors of a long-ago invasion have taken refuge in the forgotten underground city of Gravehold. There, the desperate remnants of society have learned that the energy of the very breaches the beings use to attack them can be repurposed through various gems, transforming the malign energies within into beneficial spells and weapons to aid their last line of defense: the breach mages.
Aeon's End is a cooperative game that explores the deckbuilding genre with a number of innovative mechanisms, including a variable turn order system that simulates the chaos of an attack, and deck management rules that require careful planning with every discarded card. Players will struggle to defend Gravehold from The Nameless and their hordes using unique abilities, powerful spells, and, most importantly of all, their collective wits.

#1 deck-builder
Best deck-building co-op. No shuffling means it's fun to play solo as well. Lots of characters and bosses to mix and match.

Fun but tough
This game can feel a little intense especially if you start to lose health quickly. I've only had the chance for 2 player games, so I'm not sure if it gets any easier with more pla...view moreyers. It can be quite a puzzle trying to figure out how to build your deck and what to place in your market in order to have the best chance at winning. If you like deck building from a market and working cooperatively, you'll probably enjoy this game. I think I prefer playing against someone in general but this can be pretty fun. view less

Another great co op game, almost a Sentinels of the Multiverse killer for me
Pros: Great game system, plays smoothly without a lot of confusion
Easy to teach, easy to learn
The art is great, very evocative of a desperate struggle to survive
...view more> The theme is fantastic, dark and gritty
A deckbuilder where you don't shuffle your deck is a great idea, and leads to some interesting tactical choices
I've seen this described as a less finnicky Sentinels of the multiverse
Huge amount of variability in spells, relics, and gems
Cons: Games can take a long time, or no time at all, as the heroes get beaten down by the villain or walk all over it, as the case may be. In other words, very little consistency in game length
4 player games can go long
1st edition component quality wasn't the best
How does it play with 2?: My wife and I quite like playing Aeon's End with 2 players. It's smooth and fast, and is an enjoyable cooperative experience.
