Lots of fun, silly at times (I mean you can play as a chicken 🐓 or flick around a monstrous gelatinous cube). The game rewards good strategy and skill in flicking discs. Low level of randomness. Dripping in theme.
Like a sporting event. Hilarious when someone misses a sure shot or makes an impossible one!
Difficulty highly adjustable. I find it most fun if person playing as the monsters takes a traditional game master role and ensures the others players are there to have a fair challenge, and not necessarily tries to utterly destroy them. Of course the better the hero players are the more difficult you can make it for them.
I was worried this would be a little too simple - turns out that there are lots of thematic rules that make this game very interesting. There is good variety in monsters and abilities and the heroes are fun.
My two teens and one child enjoy this game with me. A great family game for us, though maybe a little complicated for families that don’t play a lot of games.
Obviously if you hate dexterity games and flicking discs this is not for you.
